}
This tournament is a real test of your skills and ability as a dart player. This is a ONE on ONE competition. You have NO partner. It's just you against ONE other dart player at a time. A SINGLES tournament in which only FULLIED qualified* players can participate.
It is held every SIX months in conjunction with the Tournament of Champions (TOC). Usually, the SSS is held on the same day as the TOC, but from time to time its held either the day before the TOC or the day after. Click here for the NEXT SSS.
There are actually TWO Super Singles Tournaments not just one. There is the "QUEEN BEE" SSS tournament for the Ladies ... and the "King of the Roost" SSS tournament for the men.
Both tournaments are a DOUBLE ELIMINATION tournament. There is a Winner's bracket & a Loser's bracket.

What is the Tournament Format?
Winner's Bracket
Each match is TWO (2) out of THREE (3) games. A coin flip determines who throws the Diddle first. The winner of the Diddle - CHOSES the game.
There are THREE different games from which he/she can choose ONE. They are ... 501 SS/DO, Cricket, or 301 DI/DO. Each game can only be played ONCE in a 2 of 3 match.
After the first game is completed, the winner of the diddle for the start of game 2 chooses one of the two remaining non-played games. If there is a third game, the remaining game is played. Ex. If the first game is 501 and the second game is 301, then the Cricket game is played in the third game. Each game can only be played once during a 2/3 match.
Loser's Bracket
Each match in the Loser's bracket is ONE GAME - Bull's Choice. The winner of the diddle picks the game to be played. 501 SS/DO, Cricket, or 301 DI/DO.
It continues to be one game in the loser's bracket until the "MONEY ROUNDS" begin. It then becomes 2 out of 3 games again using the same format played in the winner's bracket. When we reach the finals it is 2/3, 2/3 games.
The Finals
This is the final match between the WINNER of the Winners' Bracket & the WINNER of the Losers' bracket. This match could end up being a total of 6 games. They play TWO (2) out of THREE (3) games. If the winner of the winners' bracket wins the FIRST 2/3 game match, then the tournament is OVER. However, if the Winner of the Losers' bracket wins the First 2/3, then a Second 2/3 game match is played. Then, whoever wins the second 2/3 wins the tournament. One of the TOP TWO PLAYERS in both tournaments will become the Super Singles Shoot-Out champion.
The Winner of the Ladies Super Singles Shoot-Out becomes the "QUEEN BEE" and the Winner of the Men's Super Singles Shoot-Out becomes the "King of the Roost" ... both wins cash and receives an attractive plaque.
The Payout
The top four players in each Singles tournament will walk away with Prize Money.
- First Place receives 50% of the net* Entry Fees.
- Second Place receives 30% of the net* Entry Fees.
- Third Place receives 15% of the net* Entry Fees.
- Fourth Place receives 5% of the net* Entry Fees.
If sufficient funds are available, a PURSE will be added to the overall Net Entry Fees in order to increase the payout to the top four players or pay prize money to Fifth and Sixth places.
*net - means that 10% of the Entry Fees from both tournaments is used to offset the cost of the FIRST PLACE plaque for each winner.
The Glory
Of course the GLORY goes to the winner. The winner receives the only plaque given out for this tournament. It is special! The name of the "Queen Bee" of each Ladies SSS and the "King of the Roost" of each Men's SSS along with the story of their achievement can be found in the archives below.
Additional Prizes
Since the game of Steel-tipped Darts does not at this time have automatic scorekeepers, we need volunteers to score each match that is played. That job falls to those players participating in the tournament, but NOT PLAYING at that time OR to volunteers from the spectators. To help make this job more FUN, exciting and tolerable, the CIRCUIT gives away lots of valuable CHALKER/SCOREKEEPER Prizes. The process to determine who wins the prizes might change from time to time, but many people leave happy every time.
