The Circuit's "Tournament of Champions" is a LARGE MODIFIED Blind-Draw dart tournament which is held approximately every SIX months. It brings the most consistent, determined and diverse group of indoor athletes OUT to throw against the best players in their immediate area. This tournament is usually a lot of fun for everyone including those players who didn't have the best of luck. It is a Double Elimination tournament. It takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to reach the FINALS, but when you do ... there is a great rush of excitement that just exhilarates your mind and body. So, come on out and ENJOY the day. For, you earned IT if you qualified for this tournament. We hope you play well and leave with a smile on your face.
Have you qualified yet?
This tournament has a minimum guaranteed pay-out of $2,000 (with ONLY 25 teams), yet, 16 places are paid. This is a Double-Elimination tournament with both a winners & losers bracket. A fun day with Chalker Prizes, Raffle Items & Challenging Games, Additional Prize Money, and sometimes Free Drinks.
This is an INVITATION ONLY tournament. In order to be invited to the NEXT "Tournament of Champions" all someone has to do is QUALIFY to play. The qualification process is very simple and is just a TWO STEP process. All a player MUST DO is:
- Play in at least 10 nightly Circuit dart tournaments in your area during a qualification period. Each NEW qualification period lasts SIX MONTHS. There are at least 130 regular nightly tournaments (five/six nights a week for 26 weeks) That should be plenty! If Second tournaments are held during this evening, these tournaments ALSO count toward qualification.
- A Player must place "in the money", 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th (if paying fourth that night) in ONLY ONE of those ten times or more that he/she played. For the women players, winning the HONEY POT qualifies as placing "in the money".
However the more often someone places "in the money" in one of these tournaments, the more FREE entries into the Door Prize drawings he/she receives.
What is the Format for the tournament?
- 2 out of 3 games in the winners bracket (501/SS/DO, Cricket, Bull's Choice)
- 1 game in the loser's bracket (Bull's Choice) until the money rounds are reached, then it becomes 2 out of 3 games again.
The Finals are 2 out of 3 games, and if winners of the loser's bracket win the first 2 out of 3, then a second 2 out 3 games are played in order to determine the ultimate winner of the tournament.
